HY 13 Free Ski Touring Bindings

<p data-start="394" data-end="755">The Hy 13 Free from ATK takes touring bindings to a new level - as the lightest hybrid binding in its class, it combines downhill performance with maximum walking comfort. Weighing just 675 grams and with three cleverly graduated walking modes, it offers support on long ascents and ensures an alpine feel on the descent.</p> <p data-start="757" data-end="1166">One highlight is the -18 mm mode, in which the heel sinks slightly below the level of the toe. This innovative crotch angle improves walking efficiency, especially on flat passages, which is a noticeable advantage for freeride boots with a restricted cuff angle. Two additional climbing aids (+10 mm and +42 mm) can be conveniently operated with the ski pole and thus adapt flexibly to the terrain.</p> <p data-start="1168" data-end="1575">In downhill mode, the Hy 11 impresses with a flat, direct stance on the ski. This creates a direct power connection that significantly increases precise handling and control. The heel clamp is inspired by the alpine system and provides a noticeable degree of stability and safety in technically demanding terrain.</p> <p data-start="1577" data-end="2048">The adjustable AFD (Anti-Friction Device), which ensures compatibility with different shoe soles, is also cleverly designed down to the last detail. Softer spacers reduce vibrations and improve contact with the ski. The 25 mm boot length adjustment and an elastic path at the heel and toe additionally increase tolerance and durability under dynamic loads.</p> <p data-start="2050" data-end="2369">From steep couloirs to long ascents - this binding is made for routes that combine a freeride feel with touring function.</p>
