For more than 25 years, we’ve been helping people experience the mountains at their very best. What began as a small hiking portal has grown into a leading mountain sports outfitter, built on passion, expertise, and a deep connection to the outdoors. Today, our world extends far beyond equipment—from inspiring stories and expert advice to our own magazine and a thriving mountain community.
Driven by a love for adventure, we share our knowledge to inspire, support, and motivate every mountaineer, from first-time hikers to seasoned alpinists. At the same time, we remain committed to protecting the landscapes that inspire us, constantly seeking more mindful and sustainable ways forward. Our mission is simple: to help everyone spend more meaningful time in the mountains.
The location in the immediate vicinity of the Alps is no accident: the Bergzeit team spends a lot of time on the mountain, in summer preferably climbing, mountain biking, hiking or running, and in winter, ski touring, snowshoeing or freeriding. Ski touring and bike meetings after work are just as much a part of the working atmosphere as relaxed, friendly interaction with colleagues and a view of the Alps from the headquarters in Otterfing.
